The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more. In order to pass the course candidates will undergo 6 practical assessments, 2 theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Papers) as well as continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF) qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required. Over a half day period, Learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR, choking and more. The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS. Over a 2 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: assessing an emergency situation, dealing with an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, meningitis, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, asthma and more. The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) (RQF) course is intended for qualified paediatric first aiders wishing to refresh their skills and knowledge. throughout this 3 hour course, Learners will renew their confidence by practising essential paediatric first aid procedures, including: CPR, the recovery position, choking and more, during this highly practical based course candidates will undergo 5 practical assessments and continuous formative assessment.
Combining the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) and the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) into 3 extended days of classroom learning, this specially designed course provides Learners with all of the skills and knowledge needed to provide both adult and paediatric first aid, whilst minimising the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications, the course has been specifically designed for those who work in settings that require both First Aiders and Paediatric First Aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or other childcare settings.
Delivered over 3 extended days, Learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants. The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED. Over a half day period, Learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations and safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Topics covered include: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, using an AED on both adults and children, combining AED use with CPR and more. Learners will undergo 3 practical assessments and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency
Over a half day period, successful Learners will attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: managing a casualty with anaphylaxis, CPR, common anaphylaxis triggers, signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, treatment and more. During the course learners will undertake 3 practical assessments and continuous formative assessment conducted by the course Tutor.
